About us

Since 2013, Tbilisi Gestalt Institute has been training psychotherapists and organizational consultants. Our training program meets the international standard and graduates have the opportunity to become accredited psychotherapists in Europe.

Gestalt therapy curriculum includes theoretical lectures as well as practical trainings and group work. Lectures and trainings are conducted by invited specialists who are members of the European Association of Gestalt Therapy.

Group Psychotherapy

200 hours of group psychotherapy allows participants to find and accept themselves, figure out what they want and don't want, make conscious decisions and choices in life

At this level, participants will go through the following topics:

  1. History and roots of Gestalt therapy;
  2. Theory of Gestalt Therapy;
  3. Human organism and environment;
  4. Techniques of Gestalt Therapy;
  5. Diagnosis;
  6. Different clinical approaches;
  7. Fields and strategies of application;
  8. The Gestalt therapist in the therapeutic relationship;
  9. One group supervision.

After successful completion of the second stage, a Gestalt Practitioner Certificate is issued, which allows participants to start practical activities with an individual supervisor.


At this level, participants will go through the following topics:

  1. Work with body;
  2. Work with trauma;
  3. Principles and application of ethics;
  4. Work with sexuality;
  5. Work with reproduction problems;
  6. Psychosomatic; depression;
  7. Work with groups; organizations; therapeutic communities etc.;
  8. Research in Gestalt;
  9. Professional Competences;
  10. Work with personality disorders;
  11. Four group supervisions;
  12. Preparation of diploma thesis;
  13. Practical exam.

After the successful completion of the third stage, a Gestalt therapist certificate is issued.

  1. Basic knowledge in Psychology/medicine/social sciences;
  2. Copy of diploma confirming higher education;
  3. CV;
  4. Interview.
